POSITIVELY CHANGING THE LIVES OF THE CHILDREN
The students participate in inter-special school cultural and arts and sports competitions, and regularly win medals, trophies and certificates. Customised individual education programmes help the children develop holistically. Periodical evaluations help check the improvement made by the children. Regular attendance helps in the overall improvement of the child and is insisted upon.
Lunch scheme: Ashraya provides nutritious daily lunch for the students. On important occasions, like birthdays well wishers sponsor special meals and sweets to children. During meals students are taught table manners, eating skills, and are also taught to say a word of prayer before having the food.
The occasion is used to impart fine motor, eye and hand coordination skills under the supervision of teachers and helpers. Senior children assist in clearing the tables and plates and cleaning the dining hall.
The school programme and continuing home-based programmes over a period of time have helped achieve remarkable changes in the children making them more productive, active, and social in society.
