The children at CJM Study Centre come from families that cannot afford the luxuries that children from normal middle class homes in Bangalore can. Their parents are daily wage labourers, watchmen, house maids, push cart vendors, drivers and other low wage workers.Â
Today CJM Study Centre has expanded its mission as it educates children from the Hindi speaking and northeast Indian families that are financially vulnerable. It is our commitment with the support of our sponsors that we provide our children not only a quality English medium education but also extra-curricular activities that lead to whole person development.Â

With this view the teachers and staff at CJM Study Centre organised an excursion to Bannerghatta National Park for students. This was a once in a lifetime experience for most of our children and an unforgettable one.

On 24th February the students of grades 2 to 5 of CJM Study Centre were taken on a picnic to Bannerghatta National Park. 43 students participated in the excursion.Â
They were accompanied by 10 staff members. The bus left the school premises at 8am and the children returned back to school by 4pm. The students thoroughly enjoyed the day and returned with fond memories.Â

They were able to see for themselves animals and birds that they had seen only in pictures and movies and were enlightened by their experience.
